Details of the line up for next month’s Sound City Ipswich festival have been announced.
More than 20 acts will perform across four venues in the town on Friday, October 4, kicking off at 5pm and running through till around 2am.
Headline acts include London synth and guitars act Snapped Ankles, Manningtree group Dingus Khan, and Mercury Prize nominated grime MC Novelist.
There will also be a comeback for Ipswich skate punk outfit The Stupids, and performances from Gaffa Tape Sandy and Diving Station, both of whom have performed at Glastonbury.
The BBC Introducing stage at the Cornhill will be free to attend, with wristband tickets for entry to the Corn Exchange, Manor Ballroom, and The Smokehouse costing £16.50.
Ahead of the music an industry conference will take place at Ipswich Film Theatre, with a series of panel events featuring engineer and producer Adrian Bushby, and grime artist Novelist, alongside sessions on record labels, performing rights licensing and payments, and local music venues.
The event is being supported by Ipswich Borough Council and Suffolk New College, and a £40,000 grant from Arts Council England.
