Norwich big top theatre tent is back this summer, with a programme led by comedy, drama, and family events.
Organised by Norwich Theatre, this year the tent is swapping its Chapelfield Gardens location for the Cathedral Close, with events running from July 14 to August 30.
The season will include The Wind in the Willows musical created by the multi-award winning team Julian Fellowes and Stiles & Drewe, Out of Chaos’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and cycling theatre company The Handlebards’ The Importance of Being Earnest.
There will be comedy sets from Rhod Gilbert, Russell Kane, Henning Wehn, Richard Herring, Tom Stade, Rhys James, Daniel Sloss, and Gary Delaney.
Family shows include CBeebies favourites Sarah & Duck and to complement the National History Museum’s ‘Dippy the Dinosaur Tour’ residency in Norwich Cathedral from July 13 to October 30, author and professor Ben Garrod will bring evolution to life with his fun and informative show based on his popular books, So You Think You Know About Dinosaurs.
The strand will end with a week of circus performances from Norwich’s own Lost in Translation Circus alongside other international companies.
