An East Anglian courtroom drama, Pinter, and Shakespeare are among the shows making up the Sewell Barn Theatre’s next 2022/3 season.
The amateur company kicks off their new run with The Welkin by Lucy Kirkwood, a jury drama focused on 12 East Anglian women from 300 years ago, from October 13.
Harold Pinter’s reverse chronology of an adulterous affair, Betrayal, follows from November 24.
The new year sees a composite show, Queers, consisting of eight monologues curated by Mark Gatiss from January 19.
There are also multiple performances in March, with a double header of Noel Coward plays, Still Life and Red Peppers starting from March 2.
A more modern take on life is presented in 1980s student drama Di and Viv and Rose by Amelia Bullmore from April 13.
The summer is welcomed from June 1 with William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The final show of the run is comedy drama The Cemetery Club by Ivan Menchell, which focuses on a trio of recently-widowed Jewish women in Pittsburgh.
