Norwich’s Maddermarket Theatre has launched its spring programme, with a mix of music, comedy, and drama from touring acts and its resident company.
Half term treats include two performances of The Ben Langley Show on February 12, featuring the Britain’s Got Talent finalist, and eight chances to catch local singer Joe Ringer’s Kidz Pop Party, featuring comedy, music, and dance, from February 15 to 18.
Norwich Jazz Club is bringing live music to theatre on Tuesdays throughout the spring, with events on February 7, March 14, April 18, and May 9.
Music continues with Sam and The Swing Tones performing a fundraising gig for Norwich FoodHub on March 2, Women In Rock on March 3, and Floyd In The Flesh on March 4.
The theatre’s resident company presents a collaboration with the University of East Anglia from March 8 to 12, with an adaptation of Malcolm Bradbury’s The History Man. The Norwich Players return in May with a production of Agatha Christie’s The Hollow.
There is a trio of Victorian theatre shows in April with the Don’t Go In To The Cellar company presenting The Thirty-Nine Steps, The Diary of A Nobody, and Raffles from April 4 to 6.
Other highlights include King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys on March 24, The Upbeat Beatles on April 1, the James Taylor Quartet on April 21, and the Jive Aces on April 22.
Echo Youth Theatre present two shows as part of the season, with Little Shop of Horrors on April 12 to 15, and The School of Rock musical on June 8 to 11.
