A touring musical has inspired Norwich Theatre to ask theatregoers to replicate the community spirit of the show by donating items to a foodbank.
Norwich Foodbank donation points will be at Norwich Theatre Royal from 15 October to coincide with the arrival of Come From Away the and will finish on the last performance on 26 October.
The musical shares the incredible story of the 7,000 air passengers from all over the world who were grounded in Canada during the wake of 9/11, and the small Newfoundland community that invited these ‘come from aways’ into their lives.
James MacDonald, Head of Visitor Services at Norwich Theatre, said: “Theatre is about coming together, sharing in the joy of stories, getting creative and being inspired.
“The ethos of the show is all about the spirit of kindness and the power of coming together for a good cause.”
