Suffolk’s cajun, blues, and country festival Red Rooster will go ahead this September, organisers have announced.
The event was initially scheduled for May 28-30 2020 but was postponed due to coronavirus, with a new date of September 4-6 2020 pencilled in.
Now organisers say that Government announcements on outside live entertainment mean they are confident the event will go ahead this autumn.
A new music line-up has yet to be announced, but artists will play across three open-air stages with other unconfirmed social distancing measures in place.
Festival director James Brennan said: “We are working closely with our health and safety and production teams to produce something that is truly magical without losing the spirit and atmosphere of our beautiful little festival.
“More than 60% of our audience stay in family group campervans which hugely helps us contain camping areas safely, plus by moving to outdoor stages only, we feel we can offer a safe environment in which to enjoy the festival.
“Over the next few weeks we will be putting together stringent new plans and providing detailed information to ensure the safety of our audience, artists and crew, which is of course of paramount importance.”
Tickets will also cost £20 more than previously announced at £89.50 for a weekend ticket, although they will be held at the original lower price of £69.50 until Sunday.
The festival takes place on the Euston Hall estate, near Thetford, and is now in its seventh year.
