The second year of Lowestoft’s First Light beach festival is to take place online, with a streaming programme marking this weekend’s summer solstice.
The virtual version of the arts event will feature create-your-own workshops, live DJ sets, and the chance to watch the sun rise over the most easterly point in the UK.
Music includes a live DJ set from Nathan X, folk music by John Ward and a concerto soloist performance by Harriet Mackenzie.
The National Youth Theatre’s digital environmental project MELT will also premiere as part of the festival.
Events kick off at 12pm on Saturday, June 20 and again from 4.15 am on Sunday, June 21 for the live streaming of the sunrise.
The festival will be broadcast live on Facebook and Instagram for free.
