A two-screen drive-in cinema is set to entertain Cambridge this August
Mixing blockbusters, classics, and family favourites, the 16 flick mini film festival will run over two weekends at Trumpington Park and Ride starting on August 20.
Films include 2001: A Space Odyssey, BlackkKlansman, Cinema Paradiso, Joker, Little Women, Parasite, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
The audience will be issued with portable speakers for the film audio, with cars parked in spaced bays to ensure social distancing.
There will be a range of food stalls, including Cambridge favourites Steak and Honour, Guerrilla Kitchen, Franck, CaféMobile, Arepas Station, and Cottenham Farms.
Tony Jones from Cambridge Film Projects said “I’m genuinely excited to be bringing this special event to Cambridge. Drive-in cinema is a unique, exciting event not experienced by many in this country until this summer. It offers the fun of sharing a viewing experience with others but from a safe distance.”
Tickets are on sale now from the Cambridge Drive In website and cost £27.50 per car or £10 per cyclist.
