A new exhibition of work by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer identifying artists has been opened in the run up to Norwich Pride celebrations.
The There’s Something Queer About This Art show at the Circle Space gallery on St Augustine’s Street features more than 20 artists across a wide range of media, including paint, drawing, prints, and textiles.
Curator and Norwich artist, Rachel Collier-Wilson said: “I wanted to create a space for LGBTQI+ identifying artists to exhibit their work and run small workshops.
“The exhibition includes a variety of media, styles and themes which, combined with the varied backgrounds and experiences of the artists, gives the viewers a look into this rich, diverse, creative community.”
The run includes demonstrations and activities over the weekend of July 24 and 25, a gallery talk on July 27 by Dr Rebecca Thomas, and entomological preservation and the art of gilding demonstrations on July 29.
- The show closes on August 1; for more details see the exhibition website.
