More than 200 volunteers are needed to help with a giant domino topple that will kick off this year’s Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
The giant outdoor artwork will see more some 7000 aerated breezeblocks placed around Norwich, starting at Anglia Square and snaking through the city centre to The Forum.
The installation will take place throughout the day on Friday, May 13 – with the hopefully lucky topple starting at 6pm.
Volunteers are needed from 11am to 7pm to help build the two kilometre route, which is being masterminded by Station House Opera who have previously created similar works around the world, including in Helsinki, Rotterdam, and Melbourne.
Norfolk & Norwich Festival volunteer officer Vikki Nelson said: “We really value the time and effort our volunteers give us each year at the Festival. We have volunteers from around Norfolk, of different ages and occupations, who come together as a team to help us deliver our events and welcome our audiences.
“Dominoes will be a joyful celebration with thousands of people taking to the streets to help open our 250th anniversary festival.”
