Norwich’s night-time light festival is back for 2022.
The Valentine’s-adjacent free festival will run from February 17 – 19 and feature installations, projections, and performances, including heart-shaped disco balls, laser projections, ice sculptures and interactive installations.
Nick Azidis returns with his Luminous Pareidolia, transforming the front of Norwich Cathedral with remarkable illuminations, and St George’s Church in Tombland Alley will become a canvas for Laura Cannell and Kate Ellis’ film One Star Awake.
St Andrew’s Hall will be covered in ‘mobile graffiti’, while the nearby Garth will play host to the Warm Heart ice sculpture, where flowers are suspended in crystal clear ice and captured in heart shape patterns.
At the Forum visitors can contribute to a Wall of Love, while bathed in the reflected light of a heart-shaped mirror ball sending sparkles across the building and nearby St Peter Mancroft Church.
This year also includes a month-long Love City Food Trail, featuring 43 restaurants, cafes, takeaways and bars, kicking off on February 12.
