Two of Norwich’s amateur theatres have teamed up for a fundraising event in aid of the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
The Maddermarket Theatre and the Sewell Barn Theatre have joined together to stage a rehearsed reading of The War That Still Goes On.
Based on Thucydides history’ of the war between Athens and Sparta some 2,400 years ago, The War That Still Goes On tells of the inhumanities and deceits of war.
The performances will take place at Sewell Barn on 17 June at 7.30pm and 18 June at 2.30pm and 7.30pm; and at the Maddermarket on 20 June at 7.30pm.
Tickets are pay what you choose, with suggested pricing of £5, £10, or £20, with 80% of revenue being given to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
